My Time at Ninh Binh, Vietnam

Nowadays, traveling is a way for me to find peace.

During my first trip to Vietnam(October 16, 2025), one of the places I visited was Ninh Binh. In Ninh Binh there is an amazing landscape called Hang Múa. It is a beautiful and breath-taking area centered around a limestone mountain. Surrounding it is a pond where lotus flowers grow during the season.

At the beginning of the stairs, there are statues inspired by characters from the Chinese classic Journey to the West. I especially liked the statue of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, along with other figures such as Xuanzang (the monk), Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing. They stand at the entrance as if welcoming travellers before the climb.

Going up the stairs is an activity in itself. Especially when the humidity is high, the climb can be quite challenging. But the higher you go, the more striking the view becomes. From above, you can see the river winding through the landscape, with small boats carrying locals slowly moving along the water. The entire lotus pond spreads out below, creating a peaceful and almost surreal view.

There are two peaks, and on each of them stands a stone structure at the top. One side features a small pagoda, while the other is crowned with a stone dragon that stretches along the ridge of the mountain. Standing there, overlooking the vast green valley and the river below, feels incredibly fresh and unique.

It was an experience that made me want to see and explore more of the world.

Our planet is full of beautiful places and incredible natural phenomena. Sometimes you just need to know where to look.

To anyone reading this, I highly recommend considering traveling in Vietnam. It is relatively cheap and easy to travel through, as long as you don't mind long drives and some outdoor activities.

I believe that experiencing the outside world, nature, and exploring can help us better understand ourselves as human beings. Nature has always been with us. It gave us landscapes, flora, and fauna to reflect upon. Our identity as a species was shaped by nature.

Going back to it feels, to me, like going back to myself as a human being, shedding the ego and the stress. I let the quiet of nature breathe inside me as well.

Suddenly, the noise of life doesn't matter anymore.
